Who these terms are with
This website is operated by HIC INTERNATIONAL CO INC, whose addresses and contact details are on the contact page and in the footer of every page. In these terms "HIC", "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means anyone using the site.
What this website is, and what it is not
This site is a catalogue of what HIC manufactures and a channel for asking about it. It shows product ranges, the standards they are made to, and technical documents you can download.
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, and no price appears on it. Sending an enquiry or a request for quotation does not place an order and does not commit either of us to anything. An order exists when HIC has issued a quotation and accepted your order against it in writing.
Product information and specifications
Specifications, dimensions, grades and performance figures on this site and in the documents you can download from it describe what HIC manufactures and are typical values for the standards named beside them. They are not a warranty for your application.
Whether a product suits your application is yours to determine, and the Disclaimer Statement on this site sets out the limits of what HIC warrants and what it is not responsible for. That statement governs, and these terms do not repeat or replace it.
HIC manufactures to order and improves its products continuously, so a specification can change without this site changing on the same day. Confirm anything you are going to design around in a quotation.
Requests for quotation
A request for quotation is a request for a price, and you should send the specifications the form asks for, because an incomplete specification cannot be priced.
A quotation is valid for the period stated on it. After that it lapses and needs to be requested again.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send us. A quotation prepared against a wrong specification is wrong, and HIC is not liable for that.
Documents you download
The technical datasheets, catalogues, brochures, literature and installation guides on this site may be downloaded, printed and circulated inside your own organisation to evaluate or use HIC products.
They may not be republished, sold, put behind a paywall, altered, or presented as anybody else’s document, and the HIC name and marks may not be removed from them.
Ownership of this site and its contents
The text, images, drawings, documents, layout and code of this site belong to HIC INTERNATIONAL CO INC or to whoever licensed them to it. HIC UNIVERSAL is the brand under which its products are manufactured and marked.
The copyright position on material appearing here is set out in the Copyright clause of the Disclaimer Statement on this site, and that clause governs.
How you may not use this site
Do not attempt to reach the administration panel, another person’s enquiry, or any part of the server that is not published.
Do not submit a file that contains malicious code, and do not use the enquiry forms to send anything other than a genuine enquiry.
Do not place automated load on the site: no scraping that degrades it for other people, no bulk automated form submissions, no attempt to defeat the challenge on the forms.
Do not use anything on this site to build a competing catalogue, a mailing list, or a product database.
Links to and from other websites
Links to other sites are given for convenience. HIC does not control them and is not responsible for them, and clause 2 of the Disclaimer Statement on this site sets out that position.
You may link to this site. Do not present it as your own, and do not frame it in a way that hides where it comes from.
Availability
HIC intends this site to be available and correct, and does not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, that every page will be free of error, or that a document will always be downloadable. Maintenance, hosting faults and network faults all happen. Nothing here is a commitment to a level of availability.
Limits on liability
What HIC warrants about its products, and what it is not responsible for, is set out in the Disclaimer Statement on this site. For anything to do with the products themselves, that statement is the operative document.
For the website itself, HIC is not liable for any loss arising from using it or from being unable to use it, or from relying on information on it without confirming it in a quotation. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Governing law
These terms and your use of this site are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising out of them is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
Changes to these terms
HIC may change these terms, and the changed version replaces this one on this page with a new date below. Using the site after that means accepting the change, so read this page again if it matters to you.
